Our training team is made of Paramedics and EMTs that are dedicated to their profession and to providing quality care. We realize that for us to do our jobs more effectively we need to teach and train the general public to recognize an emergency exists, contact 9-1-1 and begin life-saving care before we arrive.
Our staff includes 5 full time instructors and 30 part-time instructors. We also have a state of the art training facility that includes modern audio and visual equipment, computer based training technology, props, field equipment, lifelike mannequins, videos, and many other up to date techniques and tools for insuring our students of the best possible training environment of its kind. Most of our training includes "hands on" experience with actual equipment used in the field. Individual attention is given to each student in order to insure that the student understands the topic being taught, not just enough to pass a test.
Check out our training catalog for a list of courses we offer.

In celebration of 30 years of service to our community, MEMS is hosting a 5K. This 5K is to benefit the September Fund. The September Fund was established as a living memorial to the brave Police, Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians who perished on September 11, 2001. The fund gives a one-time scholarship to first-year college bound children of any first responder in the 100.3 the Edge listening area.
In 2002, MEMS realized the importance of “growing our own” with regards to meeting our staffing needs. It was then that MEMS’ EMS Academy was established and we began in-house EMT and Paramedic Training. MEMS EMT Rookie School is usually held twice each year as staffing needs occur. Classes and deadlines to apply are advertised in the Arkansas-Democrat-Gazette newspaper prior to anticipated start date.
